Our history
In 2016, Mike & Maria got married & both had a heart for ministry. One Sunday in church, a young adult went up to the front for prayer. After praying, she hugged Maria & said "I need more". Maria went back to her pew & whispered to Mike that they needed to do more. Not long after that Sunday, they began having Bible study groups in their home every other week. About a year later, they were having a study about what dreams everyone had. Maria expressed her dream was to have a building for ministry, but it was just that...a DREAM. A few days later, as they shared the last group study with Maria's parents, her dad said, "What about your garage?" Within a few months they were remodeling their garage to be used for ministry. Maria shared this with her co-workers & a person in management jokingly said "so you're not going to have a MAN CAVE but a JESUS CAVE"! And it clicked!
OUr mission
- Our mission is simply to connect with all ages and to be a compass that points to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We want to contribute to our local neighborhood, community, nation, and wherever God leads.
- Monthly, we work with HALO in Salisbury, Maryland and serve a dinner to usually 75 – 100 people. We regularly purchase supplies to help with the dinner, and our team cooks, serves, and cleans up the facility. Around the holidays we also try and provide gloves, coats, hand warmers, scarves and gloves, or any other supplies they are in need of.
- We also regularly purchase gifts to use towards acts of kindness for people we have heard are battling health issues or hardships. We are in connection with a number of other non-profit ministries, who we are becoming a “HUB” for, in order to bridge the gap between those who have a need and those who are able to supply those needs. We are not a ministry that is limited to our own focus but are always striving to be a light to others and a support for the less fortunate.
